Atelier Qeblawi Painted Suit — front view, tailored black two-piece worn with kufiyeh head-wrap, against an exposed brick wall.
Featured|Piece 02

The Painted Suit.

A garment that carries the painting on its back.

An original hand-painted artwork on a tailored two-piece. The painted figure wears a kufiyeh face-wrap; the Dome of the Rock and a folded Palestinian flag emerge from the head-wrap and run down the trouser leg. The painting is the piece — the suit is its frame.

Atelier|Where the work begins

“I start with a painting. A real one, made by hand, rooted in something specific. The garment is built around it — not inspired by it, built around it.”
